all colors rushing back restoring frail life we're broken here we're ruined here
looking at the dates now, i see that it took me almost a month to complete this. i'm really really REALLY proud of this. i want to thank norma jean for changing my life. I fall asleep and wake up to their music, but mostly, i listen to them while i draw. :] they're probably the reason why i'm a pretty decent artist.
oh, and i failed to mention before that this is my first well done and complete work drawn with colored pencils.
November 12, 2007 this is yet incomplete. it took forever to just get her face right. but i'm really proud of this. if i were ever to complete this, i can say that this piece right here is one of my best works.
i will provide a reference picture just so you can see how accurate it is. i'm proud!
this is the cover art from norma jean's album redeemer. i listen only to them when i draw, so i felt like i should honor them in a way for setting the mood for me to draw.
over 63 different colored pencils were used so far. [and counting]
i'm really in a rush right now, but i'll write a better description of this soon. and i'll upload the complete version ASAP.
lol thanks!
that was the most furstrating part though, lol. becuase i tried to make it too much like the actual picture, and that sucked. but then i started my own style, which is probably nothing like the photo.
you can see that her bangs and such arent the same style as the rest of the hair, becuase thats the part i tried to make it look the same as the original lol.
*takes breath*
okay, i'm done :]

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
